Group Classes

Group Transformational Movement Lessons

"TML's" are verbally guided movement lessons. In these mat-based classes, students are verbally guided through gentle, pain-free movements. These group lessons focus on helping brain function, leading to transformational outcomes in the areas of increased flexibility, strength, pain relief, acquisition of new skills and improvement of existing ones, cognitive improvement and clarity, vitality and well-being.

In light of Covid-19 there will be no community centre classes until spring 2022. I will be offering small 4-6 person classes in February 2022 in my office. Please check back for more details!

"My son has made considerable progress in the last year. I have seen changes in his behavior this year in the following areas: fine/gross motor skills, reduction of anxiety around trying new things, improved self-regulation in areas of toileting, less interruption in conversations and improved ability to be quiet on request, improved eye contact, improvement in appropriate responses to questions, ability to communicate his feelings/ideas without having to turn to me, and decrease of repetitive behaviors.

In Tanya's work, she does not seek to “fix” kids, rather looks to connect with them, and their interests and gently encourage and provide variations. She works with goals, however does not rigidly strive for an outcome, but for a process of engaged learning for him to connect with himself."
